Budreau is a charming two and a half year old American pit bull mix who is currently staying at the Oregon Humane Society after being found as a stray in Washington County, Oregon. When I walked in to meet Burdeau, he opened up to me immediately, greeting me with a wagging tail and a beaming smile. He immediately headed for the toy in my hand, excited for some playtime. About five minutes later, he had his head on my lap and we were cuddling as if we had known each other for years. Burdeau is a fantastic dog, but before bringing him home, there are a few important things to consider. Budreau loves playing with toys, and he’s certainly a dog that needs an active lifestyle. He is much happier once he gets a bit of exercise in, and he’d be a great companion for a morning jog.
Budreau is smart, which makes him adept at mastering new commands. He can occasionally become overstimulated, particularly by other dogs, so he will need an owner that can help support his needs. Additionally, if you have another four-legged friend at home, you will need to introduce them to Budreau before bringing him home with you.
Budreau is a handsome boy looking for a family that will love and take care of him. As I sat playing with him, it was easy to tell how much he has to offer as a pet and as a companion. I left the shelter that day wishing I could take Budreau home with me.
