Buffalo Exchange

Buffalo Exchange was first opened by Kerstin Block in 1974. Today, her daughter, Rebecca Block, is the CEO. The store has over 40 locations across the U.S., including two in Portland. Buffalo Exchange offers customers 25% in cash or 50% in trade when selling their own clothes.
Goodwill
As one of the first thrift stores, Goodwill is low-cost and sells a lot of clothing. It is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “enhance the lives” of families in need through a variety of programs. At their outlet locations which are commonly known as “the bins,” they sell clothing, electronics, kitchenware and more by weight.
Hollywood Vintage

Hollywood Vintage, located in a large, pink-striped building near the Laurelhurst neighborhood, offers a variety of items from an overwhelming number of local vendors both inside the building and in their parking lot, making it a great place to support small businesses or even simply explore with friends.
Northwest Union
738 NW 23rd Ave.
As the name suggests, Northwest Union is located on the west side of Portland and offers a wide selection of clothing from different decades. The store has two floors, both of which are full of unique pieces.
2nd STREET:

2nd STREET first opened in Japan in 1996, and quickly became popular across the country. The first store in the U.S. opened in Los Angeles in 2018. At its two locations in Portland, 2nd STREET is known for selling streetwear and Japanese luxury brands. Additionally, the store sells a variety of other clothing items and even has sections for different styles.
Tantrum Vintage

Tantrum Vintage was founded by two best friends who strived to create a “fun, safe, welcoming environment for all.” Formally known as Portland Y2K Flea, the market has 30 vendors and lots of cute clothing from ‘90s, 2000s and present-day styles. They also host their own monthly flea market.
Village Merchants

Village Merchants buys and sells both clothes and other antique items such as furniture and books. For customers looking to sell items, It offers three options: sell, trade or consign. Sell items to get paid the same day, trade items for more in-store credit or create an account that receives a larger portion of the selling value of items, funds from which can be withdrawn every 28 days.
