“Last year, which was my first year here at Grant (High school, the upper flex space) was where I remember meeting the most people and spending the most time with … my new friend group at lunchtime especially. And just being able to meet with them there every day and just talk about stuff that was going on at school or outside of school, athletic stuff and just all the things that were important to us at the time.”
“I think the thing I’m gonna miss most about it is just that feeling of getting to know people and getting to meet new people and that experience of feeling like you’re new and people are really accepting of you, and being welcome.”

“I’ve had a lot of special moments (in the gym) with basketball and volleyball — specifically volleyball. This year, we won our second home playoff game in the main gym, and we had a really big crowd. And it was very special because we’ve never made it to the state tournament before.”
“(I) think that being a part of a team, you build a lot of relationships that you wouldn’t necessarily build if you weren’t on a team together … You kind of see each other having a lot of ups and downs throughout the season, and you can’t really mask your emotions, so I think that being teammates creates deeper relationships because … you kind of see each other in good and bad situations.”

“(In) the bowl, I have great memories of Grant women’s soccer. It’s my favorite thing ever … And when it’s fall weather and there’s orange leaves in the bowl, it’s just beautiful.”
“The feeling of (when) you have a practice and it’s the perfect temperature out, and leaves are falling, and it’s beautiful, and you know you’re about to go to playoffs and the team’s just having so much fun … that’s super special.”
