Q – What is something that you are proud of about the show?
A – “I am proud of myself for making that decision (to become stage manager) because it was a big step that I was not — I didn’t think I was ready — but I think it’s gone really well so far.”
Q – What about the show are you excited about?
A – “The day that we finished doing auditions, Ms. Murray (the drama teacher) and I stayed afterwards to clean up and she told me the entire vision for the way she wants the show to look and she talked to me about it … The entire design is so, it’s just so creative … I’m just really excited to see the way that everything all comes together.”
Zia Doughty

Role: Orchestra Pit – Drums
Q – How did you get into music?
A – “My dad’s a musician, and so I’ve always grown up around music. I started playing drums six years ago … I always grew up playing guitar and singing. And then I got into jazz, specifically around sixth grade, and now I’m in Grant’s Jazz Ensemble.”
Q – What are you looking forward to in this show?
A – “I am really looking forward to the song ‘Greased Lightnin’’’ because I feel like that is going to be so fun … Also, originally, (the song) ‘Hopelessly Devoted’ was going to be cut, but we added it back in. So I think I’m super excited for that because the vocals are going to be beautiful.”
Sonja Seidman

Role: Actor – Frenchie
Q – What in the show are you excited for?
A – “What I’m really excited for in this production is that we’re really leaning into those extremes (of the original production) with the costumes, with the sets, but especially with the characters and how they hold themselves.”
Q – What is something you are proud of about this show?
A – “I’m really proud of the community created within the cast because last year because it was smaller, (it was) so much easier to have that community. And now, because it’s such a big cast, it’s so important to still have that feeling and still have it not be separated based on different roles.”

Role: Actor – Danny Zuko
Q – What are you looking forward to in this show?
A – “What’s really special for me is (that) I’m getting a lot of people to come and watch that haven’t seen a play in their lives before. So seeing me up there is kind of the reason that …guys, a lot of people from my soccer teams and stuff (will come) which is cool.” – 0:13
Q – What’s one challenge from this show?
A – “One thing that I’ve been thinking a lot about is, first of all, the musical is very different from the movie. And that’s been really difficult for me to navigate … Bbut as we get more through it, the script is just very different. And for better or for worse, there’s some things that are missing that I really wish were in there, and there’s some things that are in there that aren’t in the movie that I appreciate.”
